The Department of Geography and Planning, Faculty of Arts and Science, at Queen’s University invites applications for a Tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with specialization in . We are seeking applicants with an active research program in one or more of the following areas:
social planning, equity planning, participatory planning, planning with Indigenous Peoples and/or marginalized populations, planning for climate justice, resilience planning, community development, and affordable housing.
The Department of Geography and Planning (GPPL) at Queen’s University has 26 faculty members working in diverse areas of human and physical geography and planning and offers a range of . The School of Urban and Regional Planning (SURP), housed within GPPL, offers an accredited professional Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning (MPL). The School of Urban and Regional Planning is a national leader in the study and practice . The successful candidate’s teaching and service will be primarily in the MPL program and will bring expertise on the continuing role of urban and regional planning in Canadian urban centres, and the ways . The ideal candidate’s teaching and research would reflect on issues of indigeneity, class, race, and gender, as well as issues around policy and governance, on planning concerns.
