Position Type DescriptionThis position is a part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).While this position welcomes applications from individuals external to the university, current Academic Teaching Staff are first notified of available positions and will receive first consideration in accordance with the terms of Schedule D of the Academic Collective Agreement prior to considering external candidates. Term Length: Positions are typically 4 or 8 months to coincide with the academic term and vary from casual to full-time hours. Shift rotation may be required on days, evenings or weekends. Position Summary The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Alberta has openings for Assistant Lecturer (Academic Teaching Staff) positions to provide clinical instruction to students enrolled in the Undergraduate Nursing programs at the University of Alberta. Positions are typically 4 or 8 months to coincide with the academic term and vary from casual to full-time hours and shift rotation may be required on days, evenings or weekends. We are seeking individuals with teaching/instructional experience and leadership potential who are clinically current and competent in medical/surgical, mental health and/or community areas of practice. We are also looking for individuals who are bilingual, and/or have lived experience within Canadian indigenous communities. A Lecturer under the Academic Teaching Staff Agreement shall be a scholar who:
