Job Summary Dalhousie University’s Psychology and Neuroscience Department is the top Psychology and Neuroscience Department in Atlantic Canada. Dalhousie University’s Clinical Psychology PhD program, within the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, Faculty of Science, is based on a scientist-practitioner model and is designed to give our graduates a thorough grounding in science, research and clinical practice. The department’s Centre for Psychological Health ( CPH ) provides high quality training experiences for students in the Clinical Psychology PhD Program and serves the community by providing free psychological services. Reporting to the Clinic Co-Directors, the Office Coordinator is responsible for managing the financial operations, facility and IT oversight, and administrative systems for the Centre for Psychological Health ( CPH ).

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations for the clinic, including budgeting support, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate payroll processes for staff and students, including payroll setup and vacation and sick time tracking.
  • Assist with the preparation and tracking of annual budgets, forecasts, and quarterly financial reports in collaboration with CPH leadership.
  • Administer and maintain Electronic Health Management Systems ( OWL ), including providing user access, and provide system orientation training to students and staff.
  • Oversee updates to the clinic’s website content.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion, ensuring compliance with privacy, health, and institutional policies.


Note Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.

Required Qualifications
  • Business/Office Administration Diploma with a minimum of 2 years’ related work experience in financial management and/or office administration (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in order to meet stringent deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Proven ability to effectively communicate and interact with different stakeholders. Ability to work both independently and as part of the team.
  • Demonstrated high degree of discretion with confidential material.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite of products.


Assets
  • Previous experience with Electronic Health Management Systems.
  • Experience with Dal systems such as DalBuy and Brightspace.
