The Advancement Office, plays an important and exciting role as a strategic partner to the Faculty. We create and execute donor and alumni programming and fundraising campaigns to enhance and grow the engagement of our stakeholders to draw investment to the school allowing the Faculty to achieve its mission.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Advancement, you will provide front-line reception, secretarial and general office assistance to the Department in this casual term opportunity.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Fostering positive working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external contacts such as alumni, donors, prospective donors, students, faculty and staff and vendors.
  • Implementing established stewardship and engagement program activities
  • Updating prospect, alumni, donor database
  • Managing event logistics from creating the alumni or donor reports and building invitation lists to creating registration pages to executing on site event logistics.
  • Determining and executing logistical details required for advancement mailings
  • Generating reports
  • Gift processing
  • Maintaining a record of inventory and organizing the inventory storage spaces


 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Experience providing a high level of customer service to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Competent with ARBOR, the UofT Advancement database in events, prospect management and stewardship modules a must
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, sound judgement and discretion
  • Advanced computer skills with Excel, Word.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) skills 
  • Excellent organization,  time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Experience maintaining a filing and inventory system and interpreting office guidelines
  • Preference given to those with proficiency with iModules database
