Campus: St. George (Downtown Toronto) Position Number: 00029205 Existing Vacancy: Yes Description: About us: The Department of Applied Psychology & Human Development (APHD) is a research-intensive Department, boasting some of the finest, internationally-known scholars in their fields who teach in our five graduate programs: Child Study and Education (Teacher Education program); Counselling and Clinical Psychology; Counselling Psychology; Developmental Psychology and Education; School and Clinical Child Psychology. Our programs focus on basic and applied research pertaining to children, adolescents and adults. Your opportunity: The Program Administrator is involved in the administration of two programs: Counselling and Clinical Psychology (CCP) and Clinical Psychology (CP) Program. The incumbent will be responsible for administering and advising students; processing applications; maintaining the database of student information; taking minutes at Committee meetings; preparing the comprehensive exams; screening scholarship requests; providing instructor and on-site staff support; communicating with local and overseas partners; and assisting in coordinating program events. The incumbent will also provide the programs with support in submitting documentation, updating records, and organizing site visits to meet the standards of the accrediting bodies associated with the programs. The incumbent will interact with other administrative support staff in sharing tasks related to the administrative support of the department. The Program Administrator will respond to diverse enquiries from the public, students, faculty and staff. Will be the main contact person for coordinating all administrative aspects of the programs including promotion, admission, registration and providing support to students.
