Your opportunity: Under the general direction of the Manager, Residence Life, Residence Steward supports the operation of the residence front desk and provides guidance to the Front Desk Porter team. As part of the Woodsworth College Residence team in the Office of the Dean of Students, the Residence Steward holds an important student facing role and acts as a first point of contact for Woodsworth College residents and students at the College Residence Front Desk. Responsibilities include greeting residents, students, and visitors, transferring telephone calls, processing mail and parcels, monitoring building access, issuing keys and equipment, and other reception duties.Additionally, Residence Steward is responsible for supporting key residence operations, including after after-hours scheduling (emergency shift trades, shift requests, scheduling updates during after hours) for casual front desk porters, reviewing key and equipment audits, ordering supplies, responding to email inquiries, and supporting semesterly transitions of fall/winter students and summer guests. Please note, the incumbent is required to work night shifts starting at 11:00 PM and ending at 7:00 AM the next day from Thursdays toTuesdays. Your responsibilities will include:
