2265: APTPUO - Spring-Summer 2026 - PT Professor: ESL 160 S700: EAP + MedicinePosting Reason:New Position Location: Main Campus Academic Period: 2026 Spring-Summer Semester Faculty: Faculté des arts / Faculty of Arts Academic Unit: Institut des langues officielles et du bilinguisme \ Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI) Course Title: EAP for Medicine Course Code: ESL 160 Section: S700 Course Description: Facilitate community engagement for students from the Shanghai Jiao-Tong University School of Medicine by supporting volunteer work in English-speaking environments, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and the Centre for Global and Community Engagement. Enhance the volunteer experience through structured oral and written critical reflections. Promote authentic language learning, aiming to boost students- fluency, grammatical and lexical accuracy, and confidence in workplace interactions. The course emphasizes improving language skills via content, task, and project-based activities, while also fostering critical thinking and reflective abilities in both classroom and workplace settings. Additional focus includes nurturing students- awareness of citizenship and community engagement issues and practices and fostering learner autonomy through the development of personalized and meaningful experiential learning paths.
